SITEX & XS Control Units



Thanks to its rod anode, which is located outside the SF-6 insulated generator, the volume of lead required for standard radiation protection is considerably reduced. This minimized weight makes it possible for our engineers to further improve both quality and general performance (including robustness, the cooling system and accessories) without having to add further weight to the product. This makes it one of the lightest portable generator series available on the market.

Measurement & Control

Our SITEX and SITEXS are capable of providing the direct and accurate measurement of high voltage. This essential information enables the control system to guarantee the stability and reproducibility of the radiological parameters based on true high voltage, ensuring extremely precise measurements-based utilization.


Following collaborations between our R&D department and the Institute of Thermo-mechanics at the University of Liege, one of the most revolutionary high-efficiency heat exchangers ever has been created. This device allows a 100% working cycle under completely safe conditions and also reduces the anode temperature by 50%, which in turn enables you to use the SITEX Series without ever having to let it cool down.

Delivering perfect homogeneity

The SITEX and SITEXS panoramic X-Ray tubes come equipped with a patented automatic beam correction system. Perfect homogeneity is provided thanks to a real time feedback loop adjustment and an EMR (Executive Means Ratio) value of less than 5%.


These ‘XS’ X-Ray generators are reduced versions of the corresponding SITEX units (which are available in 200, 225 and 250 kV) and therefore are even more compact.

The CCU186 control unit for crawlers possesses a distinct advantage over existing products. In fact, all of the performances usually achieved with standard control units are now available in the crawler configuration. Automatic slow pre-heating, a progressive rise in voltage with each exposure and the selection of set values are all included in the CCU186.

Fitted entirely with electronic components of industrial type, the CCU186 is perfectly suited to the often extreme conditions of automatic intra-tube control campaigns.


All of the generators in the SITEX crawler range are automatically identified and controlled by the CCU186: the interchangeability is total and it can be implemented instantaneously on-site. Moreover, thanks to a conversion kit, these same generators will operate in perfect sync with the SCU286 standard control unit.


Fitting a complete control unit (including a display and keypad) into a crawler needlessly exposes components that are more fragile by nature to the extreme intra-tube conditions. The ICM solution to this problem is an independent pocketsize remote control unit: the CCU186R.


The CCU186’s unique 120VDC power supply forms a direct and simple communication with the electronics of the crawler itself. While the CCU186R controls the preheating and the kV and mA programming procedure, the crawler controls the execution of the exposure and its duration. In return, it receives confirmation for each of the exposures that they have been executed efficiently and in line with the programmed kV and mA radiological parameters.


It is essential to discharge the various constituents of the battery simultaneously. For this purpose the CCU186 needs just one supply voltage (from 105 to 140 VDC). Regardless of the voltage delivered, the kV and mA are maintained in a strictly constant manner to within ± 0.5% by an accurate control system.

To save energy, the CCU186 has an automatic standby system that ensures the general consumption is reduced to a minimum. For example, the CCU186 disconnects the cooling fans if a command has not been issued for several minutes.

If an accidental interruption occurs, the power supply immediately ensures that the settings are saved, which enables the unit to be restarted without any kind of problem.
